Code 2 Error When patching

I open up the launcher and download the latest patch but when it finishes it gives me a code 2 

saying Failed to update the launcher (code 2) 

 

please close any applications related to Renegade-X and try again, I close everything out with task manager and try to rerun it again and same thing.

Try opening up task manager and seeing in there's a "Renegade X Launcher.exe" process lingering around anywhere. If there is, kill it. If not... try restarting?

It worked something poped up in a cmd prompt window in the background closed it and it was able to patch itself
