zunnie
http://renegadex.game-maps.net/index.php?act=view&id=18 This will fix the FrontEnd User Interface menu. The UT3 theme will be replaced with the Renegade-X one. Read the readme that opens after installation! This fix was provided by Kaztsmile from http://lead-games.com I temporarily disabled the download, appearently you can't see any progress bars when files start to download from a server. This leads people to think their game is not joining the server when its actually downloading files.....

zunnie
You sure you installed it into the right folders? Did you also read the readme that popped up after installation about UTEngine.ini?
thrash300
QUOTE (zunnie @ Feb 7 2010, 07:40 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You sure you installed it into the right folders?Did you also read the readme that popped up after installation about UTEngine.ini?[/b] Can you just make an installer that extracts it to the correct folder?. You don't have to make a pretty gui just make it work on all drive letters. However if its linux its another thing.
zunnie
Well the installer does get your USER folder, but not the My Documents folder, if your "My Documents" folder is called different than English it will extract to the wrong folder, you gotto change the My Documents and My Games into your language if its other than English... NodCommander
Ah..That could be the problem then EDIT: I tryed again and this time I made sure it was instaled into the right folder. Still didnt work. Also, the readme file that pops up is odd, because it wants me to change the file name into what it already is. This is what the .ini file looks like, I havnt changed anything at all: ;Map=RenXFrontend.ut3 ;LocalMap=RenXFrontend.ut3 ;TransitionMap=EnvyEntry_Renegade.ut3 GameName=RenegadeX GameNameShort=RenegadeX
zunnie
Change it to this: [url] Protocol=unreal Name=Player Map=RenXFrontend.ut3 LocalMap=RenXFrontend.ut3 TransitionMap=EnvyEntry.ut3 MapExt=ut3 EXEName=UTGame.exe DebugEXEName=DEBUG-UTGame.exe SaveExt=usa Port=7777 GameName=RenegadeX GameNameShort=RenegadeX ;Map=RenXFrontend.ut3 ;LocalMap=RenXFrontend.ut3 ;TransitionMap=EnvyEntry_Renegade.ut3
NodCommander
I dont know whats wrong, I'v been trying alot of different ways, changing what I was supposed to, change the whole file, everything. There is still no difference, the game just runs with the UT3 menu.
Jayrun
go to your %Profile%\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\Renegade\Config folder and open UTEngine.ini with notepad. Find and replace ;Map=UTFrontEnd.ut3 ;LocalMap=UTFrontEnd.ut3 To: Map=RenXFrontend.ut3 LocalMap=RenXFrontend.ut3 save that file and all will works fine
