  1. did you delete the old version of the game first ?

What do you mean? the Black Dawn version from the Downloads section? I downloaded that first, then got the 5.16 update manually, then I get the full build for 5.23 by ITweak, so am I suppose to delete the Black Dawn version with 5.16 before I place all those files in the full build in a folder?

I thought by full build he meant the files from 5.16 to 5.23, or is it the entire game? :o

  2. I was able to run the game at version 5.16, but couldn't join any skirmish or multiplayer game since it was updating, then I get the full build provided by ITweak since the launcher auto-update said " failed after several retries. " I get the full build, copy all the files to the folder, run the launcher and when I press " launch game ", it just gives the error " Build with UDK has stopped working "

If it helps, I got the black dawn version of the downloads section, then directly updated to 5.16, then I got the 5.23 full build and placed those files in the folder, so any help?

Here's the details of the error:

  3. I didn't know where to post this so why not here? :P.

It would be good to have a " Benchmark " option in Renegade X to test your FPS in heavy loaded maps instead of waiting for hours to get a game, then keep setting your game to run good and look good.

Talking about benchmarks as in how GTA V and Just Cause 2 has done it.

  4. Discord has been suggested before, but we're unlikely to change the software and location that everybody's already familiar with without a substantive reason to do so. If we're going to ask dozens of people to switch software, there should be a pretty concrete and incontrovertible reason for it.

There are also reasons to not use Discord. Namely, I would be most concerned about our ability to ban any problematic users -- nobody can view a user's IP on Discord, nor can you manually add IP-based bans. If a user gets banned on TeamSpeak and attempts to evade it, we can expand the ban to the subnet their address is assigned from. We simply can't do this on Discord.

With that said, I actually do tend to prefer Discord over TeamSpeak for non-organizations. It has a cleaner and simpler interface, doesn't require the end user to host a server, and you don't have to always be connected in order to receive messages. In smaller groups where the server isn't publicly made available/advertised, it's much less likely for problematic users to arise. Even though bans are somewhat rarely utilized on TeamSpeak (and subnet bans even more rare), it's genuinely useful to have available as a deterrent or worst-case scenario. If Discord ever implements a sufficient solution for that issue, then it'd be usable and at least up for discussion.

Reasonable enough, I understand the situation.

  5. I have an suggestion, how about we start using discord?

The reason I suggest this is because Teamspeak is a really old software and the overlay doesn't look great at all, discord also has better mic detection, voice transmission, etc.

It's really good, I suggest we should communicate though discord instead of Teamspeak.

  6. Thank you, I thought I would be needing the 32-bit version, I'm going to try your solution right now.

Edit: At first the UE3 Redist said that this installnation package is corrupted, I ran as administrator, then it asked me that I need Windows XP service pack 3, I installed the MSVC 2010 x86 package, let's see if it runs.

  7. Thank you very much! I will try that.

    Edit:

Nope, still the same error, also let me say something else.

I downloaded the 5.13 > 5.14 patch from this website, then I placed all the files from the 5.13 > 5.14 patch into the folder named UDK Game, then I opened the launcher and updated the game to 5.16 from there.

  8. So bascially, at first when I try to start the game, it gives me a error asking for msvcr100.dll, I downloaded the .dll file and placed it in the launcher folder, then it gives this error:

    " This application was unable to start correctly ( 0xc00007b ) "

I have the 64 bit 2013 version of Microsoft Visual C++ on my computer, do I need a 32 bit version of it? or something else? somebody help me.

  9. "easily done"

most people don't realize that what your asking might seem easy to the uninformed. In reality it's a 10 hour project to edit the flash files and icons, and scripts in the purchase menu to be able to customize it and add new vehicles.

I do realize that, I'm scaling down to what he was saying.

It would take 20-30 hours to do that, but it's alot LESS than making an entire game-mode out of it.
