  1. IGAD is a study at NHTV and stands for International Game Architecture and Design. We're being taught how to make games etc, pretty cool stuff. I'm focusing on programming!

    Think that wasn't me indeed, haha. A lot of people have beards now anyways.

    As someone from the Netherlands: can confirm, lots of Dutchies have beards. ;)

  2. Just tested this out and it is awesome! However, there are some issues of which two are crucial.

    (Crucial) 1: On Lakeside, the Titan, when bought, walks diagonally out of the WF, gets stuck and eventually falls on it's back making it very hard (if not impossible) to get it out and is prone for destruction by another bought vehicle. Is there a way to make it spawn at the WF's platform instead of inside?

    2: Titan currently inhibits the APC slot while it should inhibit the Medium Tank slot (because Titans are supposed to be the successors in TS)

    3: Tick Tank, likewise, is supposed to be inhibiting the Light Tank slot

    (Crucial) 4: The Advanced Buggy's 30mm cannons are -stupidly- strong against -everything-. Is there a way to nerf/boost damages in this mutator by including config lines?

    If the two crucial ones can be fixed, I will happily create a poll on Comis on implementing this mutator. :)

In the context of the situation, Idk what server this is, who this is, and I notice who I think is Agent (Jessica) also questioning wtf is going on, but generally, I have no clue what the situation or server is. Tried asking the server admin themself about this? EKT if it was EKT, TMX if it was TMX. Tbh, nobody I know beside B0ng checks IPs enough to know someone's location, how would the alleged server mod even known if said person was swedish or not?

    It was our server, Comis. Jessica is the admin there so I was like: wut?

    Could be a troll, we will never know. :P

  4. Quad core 2.8ghz or better udk server uses around 1.5gb of ram and when full around 2-3gb. So a server with 16gb of ram would be plenty. (I found lower clock speeds caused the vech lag on my dedi back when it was an issue in beta1 hence why i suggest 2.8 ghz or higher)

    HDD speed doesnt really matter as the main loading is only done on map change.

    Pretty sure others would have different opinion but what do I know lol! Hope this helps.

  5. I might want to start my own community in the future, and I am wondering what specs are optimal for a server that caters to both Europeans and North Americans. I have heard that Wintel servers with high clock processors are apparently more useful than multicores, and that 1 gbps is a must. But I don't exactly know what this build of UDK runs best at. Can a server owner or a developer push me in the right direction towards what hardware I need to run a 40 player server 24/7?

  6. I already fixed most of the Bugs from your Feedbacks, this was an great Help to find these nasty Bugs *crush them under his Foot* Now I'm currently reworking the Basewalls.

    - Fixed another flying Bushes and Tib Crystals

    - Fixed Landscape near GDI Bunker in the Cave

    - Fixed Tiberium Area, now Infantry will get hurt on the whole Tiberium Field

    - Fixed strang missing Collision from the Tiberium Asteroid

    - Fixed Winds in the Rocks near GDi Bridge

    - Fixed wierd Collision on the GDI Bridge

    - Fixed Sands in Nod Tiberium Ref.

    - Fixed Crates on the Inf Pathes, they will dont spawn Tanks anymore

    - Crate Sizes litte bit increased

    - AGT replaced on higher Position to get more Range and to by way more Aggressiv to the Attackers

    - Both Walls will reduced hin there Heigh, also i give both of them an unique Style and hope you will like it more then the Old ones.

    - Also i delete from each Main Entrance 1 Turret now where Obi and AGT should hit earlier.

    Also i try to make this Map flyable, for more Options to manage an Attack from both Teams.

    I'll upload Beta 1.1 in follow of the Day after finishing the Tests

    You can try what Ruud has done with C&C Crash, and implement a tech structure that can be captured by both teams in order to build air units. :)

  7. While I question the effectiveness of physical media to promote a free computer game, I see no issue with the images. The Stank rush itself explains a lot, You can recognize GDI and Nod, the presence of structures and defense, teamplay vehicle combat... Infantry is a side option that is VERY BAD to give the impression infiltration is the sole means of victory...

    But, if anyone is at a college campus or the like, absolutely anywhere in the world right now, please for the love of bacon feel free to download and post it somewhere in the open. That is honestly just about the demographic that would remember C&C Renegade or be interested in indie tactical shooters.

    I might feel like printing like 5 copies, and sending at least 1 with my roommate to his Everest College branch, small college but still a fair attempt.

    I still think depicting a SBH infiltrating would look cool, and I'll post a variant based on that (and possibly other infantry like engineers, snipers etc) once I figure out how to manipulate either the camera or the Pawns themself.

  8. This looks unappealing and says nothing about the gameplay.

    If I had to make a poster I would put an uncloaked SBH somewhere on a hill with a GDI base in the background and throw a text saying something about infiltrating it (or just destroying) as a catchphrase.

    You'd be suprised how hard it is to get good, 'explaining' screencap material. I'll take your scenario into consideration, but I'd need to stage it myself.

    Of course it's hard. That's why companies hire many people to do that. There's much more to it than just slapping four images together and calling it a promo.

    If you want to do it good, you have to put some effort.

    Also if you need people just ask.
