Allowing the radar to see enemies makes it actually useful. A Path Beyond has made particularly good use of this mechanic and the gameplay is better for it.

I've liked each of the post-RA2 C&Cs except Generals. Since their respective releases, I've played hundreds of matches in C&C 3, KW, and RA3, and I can honestly say they're overall great games. They're in no way perfect, but each one entertained me way more than most games do. -

I tried to play again recently with some friends and while it was still fun and dropped a large
nostalgia bomb on me I couldn't get past the age of the engine and the jitteryness of it.
Luckily UT3/UE3 are amazing and this team is amazing for bringing Renegade back!

I too already got UT III for myself, and a friend off of Steam. However, this really is very cool of you guys to do. -

It's the wrong era, and it's not used anywhere else in the mod. It's not a huge deal though.
