  1. physics (vehicles bumping intostuff, each other and running over people) are calculated server-side

But there is no delay when going forward and backwards in a vehicle, that only happens when I turn left or right, so why is turning left or right is the only movement that has a delay.

That doesn't happen in any other game, why is this game has this weird logic of making turning an annoying thing for me or anyone else who has the same problem.

Honestly if this game wants to go for larger audience, the developers should fix these issues that are encountered by those who live in a country far from the server (US server for example). I'm choosing this server because EU servers are empty, which are the closest servers to the country I live in.

I'm in Dubai, United Arab Emiartes by the way and played the original Renegade, which is why I would love to play this version.

  2. Have a lower ping.

No seriously: vehicles are mostly server-side.

Blame EPIC Games on that one.

What could be the reason for developing it in that way?? What does turning a vehicle have to do with the server? and why is it not the same thing with the characters?

Is this issue not going to be fixed in the future patches?

  3. What's the minimum and maximum system requirements for Renegade X?

Also would the following system information be enough to run Renegade X smoothly?

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

    Processor: Intel® Core i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz

Card name: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

    Display Memory: 2737 MB

    Memory: 4096MB RAM

    DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Edit: I would appreciate it if you give me your suggestions or advices.

  4. Details of how everything looks. If it's low, people and objects will have very little detail on them to keep performance up. If it's high, details will be more pronounced and sculpted with an impact on performance.
The "Detail Level" setting doesn't seem to change much. I assumed it was for things like smokes and explosions.

For instance, I do know it removes the sand dust in Walls_Flying if you set it to low.

So which one is for changing how the characters look? because I tried to change the Detail level but nothing changed.

  5. Wait, what is actual legal status of Renegade X.

What is agreement between Totem Arts and EA that they can use C&C name without fear of being sued?

    Can we see it?

How come Totem Arts cannot accept donations?

Since Steam has Greenlight AND Early Access category, I see no problem why Renegade X should not be put on Steam at this moment.

Totem Arts can develop the game as long as they don't make any money in anyway out of it, including donations.

I think Totem Arts are planning to release Renegade X on Steam when the game is complete as it is still in open beta now.

  6. I thought it would be nice to make use of the static text in the menus lower area to change as you moused over options to provide an explanation of what each option is/does.

That would be nice, but if you can make the explanation kind of detailed so we can understand what the setting is for. Also a default button would be great, now I don't remember what were the default settings :P

  7. I played Black Dawn to check if I can run Renegade X Multiplayer smoothly when it's released, but unfortunately I get 13~16fps when I'm in the mission.

I played other new games with high graphics like Warframe and DC Universe online (Which is made using Unreal Engine) and the games were running smoothly.

I'll list below the system information, tell me if I can run Renegade X with 60fps and with no problems.

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

    Processor: Intel® Core i5 CPU M 480 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz

    Memory: 4096MB RAM

Graphic Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

    DirectX Version: DirectX 11

    Everything is up-to-date.

  8. Well the one only 'problem' I have with not knowing is that the date is 26th, but it doesnt say what time-zone. However, the devs have been overly happy with their strict use of "pacific standard time" which in more common sense means GMT -8.

So until someone officialy says something else, sometime on the 26th GMT -8 is the release.

A countdown starting from 12 hours at least till release can solve the time zone problem.
