Isn't that why you have the 'Are you human?' question during the registration? Either that or install Captcha 2 instead of the unreadable junk you're using now.[/b]

Yea, unless they learned how to bypass that too... but don't bots just create accounts anyways?

But I'm glad it's realized it should be done differently, good to know the reasoning at least :P

I agree with this a lot. I guess being closed off while the mod was in development had it's reasons but now that the mod is public the place for support should also be public. And that means not having to register to view a possible solution. It's very off-putting to potential players to say the least.[/b]

    Exactly :)
  3. Just something I've noticed and had a thought on, why does the forum require registration to view topics? I know, this might be to make people register and become active within the community, but on the homesite, you've announced your public release, if they click it for more info, they have to register. What if they don't want to? Some people don't like register on sites (a few friends of mine love lurking, they'll never, EVER register). By blocking that viewing privelage, you're denying them info on downloads, bug fixes (the frontend thing for one), etc. I think you guys should at least make the new more readable on the homepage or make the forums viewable for guests. Maybe make the homepage have info of the news post like CNCNZ (I'm just biased, yea :P) but if they want to click it to read the replies to the OP, they have to register. Something like that.

And this is a minor thing... why not get an ICO icon for the forums like the homepage has?

(if this should go in offtopic or somewhere else.. please move it)

    2. I select a server and UT3 launches correctly. I get to the menu and it freezes. The two soldiers in the background are moved to a different perspective and the menu starts going at like 5 FPS and I can't do anything but watch my mouse skip across the screen. It stays like that and doesn't connect to a server.[/color][/b]

Same happens to me or it just takes forever to join the server.
  5. Didn't UT3 kind of... tank? Add that to the fact the economy is very uneasy, not surprising to see it at a low price.

I might have to get it for Christmas so I can have it for this mod ;)

  6. Should the home page say "Welcome to the Frontpage"? Seems like it should say "Welcome to Renegade X" or just "Renegade X Homepage" or something. And maybe a better looking ico icon instead of the default Joomla one. Also the RSS feed doesn't lead to the forum's news one. :) I'm just probably nitpicking on things you're planning on working on! Very nice looking website.

Made a news post about it on CNCNZ: http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?showtopic=10463

nice work, look really good, a true gaming website[/b]

Duro!! So cool to see you again.. Highbuzz if you don't recognize my new alias.

  7. On the site, unless I'm totally blind, there is no "home" link. The image on the top isn't clickable or anything to take me back to the home page. I'm not stupid so I just edit the URL on my browsers to "http://www.renegade-x.com/" but it'd still be nice to have a clickable link on the page to go to the homepage. :)

Also great job on the trailer, I loved it! ;)
