Wow, the maps are awesome! As a resident of the Pacific Time Zone I am VERY happy about the inclusion of AI Bots as there are not many people online by the time I get online as I usually come on later than most. I play on a lot of the "old Renegade" sites and even they are a bit sparse.

How does one obtain an "Invitation" to Demonoid? It seems that registration is closed unless you are invited. The other sites are taking a LONG time to D/L the file and last time I tried it my file was corrupted, which was a bit of a pain. Right now I have some 4 hours to go to finishe my current D/L

Well my first attempt at D/L Black Dawn ended with a corrupt file, which sux so I am trying again.
The comments are most interesting and I shall add my own once I get it up and running.

Well the pictures look very cool. I hope that Black Dawn will be along soon. I check reasonably regularly for other players on the servers but there is never anyone on when I am on. I live in Western Canada and you are probably all asleep when I come on. Rats!

I keep buying and trying other games but guess what, I am back playing normal Renegade as it is still my favorite game.
There is something about the Renegade gameplay that NONE of the other games can match.
Hopefully Ren-X will be along in time to allow others to play it.

Thanks for posting the REN-X IP Software I was going slowly mad trying to connect to REN-X servers with no luck! I JUST D/L thie file and hopefully I will have more success.

Interesting, looks like the 15th anniversary is coming up soon, just in time for the new stand alone Black Dawn release you guys are working on! I only saw this thread as somehow the new board software did not put the threads in the expected date order with the last reply being first below the stickys. No problem it was interesting to reread this thread anyway as like many C&C fans I have all the C&C games, currently lacking only the latest release, which being the last has made me hold off buying it for a while.
(I wonder if signatures ported over, I'll bet they didn't.... Well it looks like I was wrong they did!)

No clue what you are talking about and I just reread all the posts. Head is spinning too.
Like the picture and took it off and had a close look at it. It looks like maybe you are allowing for building CONSTRUCTION with the three Barracks and maybe even building capture. Planes would be good as strikes can be called in for some of the regular C&C games. Flyable planes, helos and Orcas would rock...

Thanks Team! I am D/L it now as I write this. From the comments above I anticipate having LOTS of others playing when I get it installed and begin playing. Excellent work and a HUGE thanks from us long time Renegade players for breathing new life in to our favourite game!

Excellent work team! I was most impressed with the 0.4 release and am slavering over the 0.5 release on Sunday!
Unfortunately I dont usually get on till late in the evening and there are few if any people on at that time, so I look forward to more people being on with the 0.5 release. Keep up the great work.
Was hoping to play this evening but no 0.4 servers are showing up today. Guess they are loading up and testing the 0.5 version so I shall just have to go play regular Renegade.

Yes guys you do indeed deserve a HUGE HURRAH for Ren-X. It looks awesome. There are a couple of issues but for a beta it is definately playable. Well done!
Just in case someone wanting to play cant get through one of the doors (or any of the doors) for some reason in Multiplayer the doors do not work and you have to run and Jump and feign death to get through the doors. It works ok in the single player mode as the doors work there. Be aware when you play and give the coders time to fix things.
Tanks and vehicles are very cool and are a joy to drive. Make sure you set all your keystrokes up as there are a LOT.
Incidentally to the previous poster, if you are in single player mode and your sbh rifle goes invisible shoot it and it will come back.

I tried it and am currently a couple of minutes or 3rd in line to D/L this file. I HOPE it is not a spoof or aomething even less pleasant but lacking anything else I thought I might as well try it.
Well I checked back and it IS currently D/L so hopefully it is the right one.

Well, I tried the link given and am patiently waiting in line. 11 more to go. Not sure if it is real or a spoof but it does have the right filename. So rather than wait some more I am going to try to D/L it as there does not seem to be any other option right now. Leaving this thread to see if there is anything new on another thread yet.

I have used Wizard17 since the days of Doom2 at LAN parties and ever since then in every game I play on line. I recognize quite a number of other players some of which like Major Patterson are still very active in original Renegade.
A couple of games I had to use Wizard017 as someone else was using Wizard17 but in Ren it wes always - and still is Wizard17.
Vash, yeah I remember you and Sniper and several others too, see you guys in game shortly - I hope - if there is room!

K, thanks Fobby for clearing that up. Now I can go to bed and get some sleep rather than sit waiting for 11:00pm PST.
I WILL be on tomorrow to see how to D/L Renegade-X and will have it up and running tomorrow. Hopefully I will be able to get on one of the servers but wit 1,300 odd members all slavering to get this mod it will be interesting!

Interesting time notices. My understanding is that the team is on the Eastern seaboard which is in time zone GMT+5 NOT GMT-5 so IF the earlier post was right about it being "Noon" September 30th in time zone GMT-5 then that makes it 10 hours earlier OR 2 am EST or in my time zone of GMT+8 it will be out at 11:00pm PST.
Whilst I wourld really like to see it out at that time - in 30 minutes time I suspect that the earlier poster got his time zones screwed up and really meant GMT+5 not GMT-5 so instead of waiting 30 minutes I am going to have to wait 12 hours and 30 minutes. Or til tomorrow morning for me.
Hope my earlier calculation is right...

I have the same problem. Thanks for the hint, I will unplug BOTH my Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick and my Xbox transmitter. Will let you know what happens...
