Hello all,

My friend on TeamSpeak was looking through the files and found out that the splash image was as big as 1.67 MB. It's a big .BMP fle. I've resaved it as a .PNG file and the size now was only 247 kB! If we could save space by this. This would be very useful. The splash screen still works so why not?

i tried a .gif file 167 kb but that doesn't work, it will go back to the original UT3 splash screen

try using it with wine.
fedora 11 with wine doesn't work for me, maybe ubuntu/debian works better.

it won't work on fedora 11 using wine.

it just won't start up Renegade-X Server Client. but you will be able to install the files in the wine folder

i was uploading it for two people so that at the official release there were already 3 seeds so the download would start faster
and an hour later, 90 peers
and now 26 seeds and 94 peers <_<

if there is one seed and 40 peers.
half an hour later, there are 21 seeds and 20 peers.
a minute after that
2 seeds and 20 peers.
torrents only work when you upload after you finnished the download. people gave you an upload, after that it's time that you give your upload to other people

now it's 11 seeds and 105 peers. half an hour ago there were 26 seeds and 90 peers. that means, half the download speed for the peers.
everybody has to do his job for the game to be released. don't be selfish and seed torrents after downloads.

14 years already, that means i am playing renegade for 3.5 years now (i bought The First Decade when it came out but only started renegade 6 months after).

In the year 2023 we will say: "it has been 14 years since renegade X came out and we are still playing it. back than we played it on our windows xp, and now we are using windows-X, mac OSXX and ubuntu 23.04". (or whatever we call the operating systems than.

i started playing cnc when red alert came out, it was my first illigal game, when the box with counterstrike and aftermath came out i got the original, that was in 1997 (and after i bought: tiberian sun, cnc generals + expantion, TheFirstDecade and tiberium wars).
i was 6 when i started playing my first cnc those were the times that little kids could still get all the games, now they get a 16+ label if the game involves shooting.

@NoxBlade, i think they will release it September next year.
