  1. So did I miss the beta application window or has it not opened yet? I came here on the day that it was supposed to open but didn't check back until ~10 days later but I don't see anything saying that it had opened or closed.

  2. This, and the admin can define a minimum playercount aswell so that bots will then enter and leave automatically based on actual player numbers.

    Cool, and will the auto team select be based on actual players so you don't sometimes get a team with mostly humans and another team with mostly bots?

  3. Some more info for you that some might find interesting:

    You will be able to play with and against bots in the MP version. This feature gets a lot of attention from us this time. In Black Dawn the Bots were just there for you to have something to shoot at without providing much of a challenge. But for the MP version the goal is to really show the bots how to play the game and to play it for the win. We already did quite a lot in that department but would like to do even more which is why we are looking for a second AI programmer.

    Are they just going to be in a deathmatch kind of mode? Or are the bots actually going to playing for the win in the Command and Conquer mode? As in are they going to be doing repairs, sneaking into enemy buildings with sbh nukes/hotties, using tanks, getting together for rushes, etc, etc

  4. Hey a update, sweet. Glad my months of lurking has finally let me see something.

    The environments look interesting, but the trees are reminiscent of pipe cleaners rather than firs or pines.

    This reminds me of Crysis. I remember when that game came out. Everybody was like "LOOK AT THE TREEESSSSSSS!!!! its amazing". But yeah those trees aren't great. Maybe they're going for the classic Renegade look in the tree department :)

  5. Will the multiplayer version change map rotation based on the number of players on a server?

    (Sorry if you've already answered this, I asked it before but didn't see it answered)

    I never liked playing small maps with lots of players and large maps with only a few players is even worse. It would be great if this could be prevented automatically.

  6. Since there will be a auto downloader for maps I'm hopeing we will end up with a lot of maps of varying sizes like there used to be on Renegade servers that ran fan maps. I always liked playing on fan maps but one problem with them was that some times you would end up with tons of players on a small map or to few players on large maps. So....

    Q: Will Renegade X allow servers to automatically change map rotation based on the amount of players?

    anyways, a question... lemme think about it :) .

    I would like to know if any 'special events' will take place in the multiplayer.

    For instance, a map where you can blow up a large amount of rocks to clear a passage.

    Or the ability to blow up a tower near each of the bases, that allows infantry to easily defend the base.

  8. Cool the release date is earlier than I thought. I was thinking it would be on Feb26 since that was the release date for Renegade (10 year anniversery coming up) but Jan28 is even better. Actually that would be almost right inbetween the original demo and full game release date.

  9. Fobby[GEN]]We still need to do balance testing, but right now they work like Officer guns. Effective against infantry and lighter vehicles, but not very effective against heavy vehicles.

    I would love it if the orca and apache got nerfed. I hate playing flying maps because those vehicles have everything except armor (snipers own them if they got distance) but they're so fast they always just run and then take two seconds to repair and come back. I always thought it would be good if the repair gun didn't work to well on them so even though they had low armor they would take a while to repair. I also think it would be good if they could only take ~two tank shells to destroy since they're so hard to hit unless the pilot is slacking. Just some suggestions.

  10. I can be around after 2pm EST on Saturday and all day Sunday. I would say that a weekday late in the day would be best for me since I'm more likely to be home but I'm sure that would be hard with timezone differences and most people working on weekdays.

  11. The missle could fall through the ground and blow up 50m below ground for all I care. I'm just happy theres a update to RenegadeX :D

    (Actually underground nuke would be cool. Nuke blows up underground and then the building falls into a pit, could be a earthquake bomb lol.)

    This was cool but having everyone in the same chat room was a little odd. Couldn't really discuss strategy since the other team would know what you were doing.
