  1. Same problem. I was not aware there is no difference between updating and installing anymore. I see the same server being attempted to be reached in resmon.exe. No need for wireshark. Moving green bar in the download field. ...checking for plain download...
  2. Hi ! After a few months my installation was due for some updates. It is on W10. A parallel W7 installation was running fine so far. I did not play on that W10 disk for a while. My launcher had to be updated from 063 to 0.65. That took quite a while to succeed. It often stopped at random percentages. That being done ok I tried to verify the setup but that never did anything. Download bar swinging but no progress anywhere. So I reset the installation and then being asked for install I had basically the same problem of no progress. I checked process behavior in wireshark and process monitor and found that the download server port 80 is apparently not present. I can provide the material when needed. frankfurt1.tyrant.gg 31.186.251.70 was the server. but I also saw this in proocess monitor (a sysinternals tool, cool stuff): PerryW10.fritz.box:50211 -> v-31-186-251-70.unman-vds.internap-frankfurt.nfoservers.com:http So he obviously the reversemapped name. The installer opened "C:\Program Files (x86)\Renegade X\patch\download\instructions.json" but that file is apparently empty. May be someone has to look at infrastructure... I deinstalled everything now and try the regular downloader. cheers, Holger
  3. The reinstall fixed my earlier W7 problem. Runs fine now. If the "no update needed" symptom was also a server issue like the "empty server list" then there is no issue left. If not then possibly some update check problem with somewhat older releases may exist. I have not played for a while. Nice enhancements...
  4. Could the "no server list" symptom also have the effect that the launcher does not detect an update is required ? After some weeks I had flipped my boot SSDs and booted W7 again so my installation was on 5.16 yet. But the launcher claimed I was up to date. Actually I am already reinstalling but I wanted to document the symptom. May be some others have been seeing this too. I started reinstalling since I also had the UDK startup failure which there is a manual fix in the ini files. But I could not find it. So I was playing on W10 only which did not happen to show that symptom. If that persists on W7 I get back.
  5. Can someone please change that ? 6A2333B69128C719A864622A68511093737859D3 In a comment on the Announcement page of OpenBeta3 there is a comment with the same checksum. So I guess this must be correct. Usually it will confuse people as posted checksums should really be correct. Thanks, regards, Mr Sandman
  6. This thread is of March 2014, so I assume it is related to Beta2. I saw the same behavior in OpenBeta3. "Same" as far as the description here sufficiently describe it and I have been able to see it... It does not seem to apply to all team members then. At least 1 usually but I could not observe more details yet. Running it for 2 weeks now with limited time to spent...
