  1. I am able to confirm that deleting "Rx_VersionCheck_Lib.dll" from the ".\Binaries\Win32\UserCode and ".\Binaries\Win64\UserCode" directories has fixed the crashing problem. I was successful in joining a server from the in-game browser and I was able to return to the main menu without any issue. I have uploaded my post-fix logs here as well. Launch.log NativeLog.txt
  2. The health and armor bars could instead be placed above the icon to fix that issue and maintain the "armor before health" damage mechanic.
  3. On the map "Under", there are some vague locations that can be called out when targeting a hostile entity. These locations, "Ice Cave" and "Rock Corridor" are very basic and don't give enough detail as to where they are. For example, I think it'd be better to add a faction prefix to them like "GDI Ice Cave" as it would alleviate a lot of confusion I (and likely others) get from these callouts. Another thing I've noticed is both the health and armor of buildings are overlaid on top of each other, causing the health to be hard to read when the armor is equal to or greater than it. I feel a simple solution would be to just put the health bar right below the armor bar.
  4. I decided to install this game onto my laptop because the minimum system requirements were low enough, but it seems that the actual performance needed to run the game is much higher than even the stated recommended. I set every setting to the absolute lowest in-game, along with disabling V-Sync, and my FPS at the main menu averages at 36 - with a 720x480 resolution (the minimum I can choose). Keep in mind that my laptop is plugged in and has absolutely nothing running in the background. My graphics card driver's settings are also set to their lowest in hopes to increase FPS. All of my drivers are up to date. When I change just my resolution to my native default of 1920x1200, my FPS averages at 9. I understand that this is a giant increase in resolution (roughly 6.67 times the amount of pixels), but I don't have any other game that drops it's FPS a whole 75%. Just for reference, the game's minimum specifications are: The game's recommended system specifications are: My system specifications are: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 @ 2.2 GHz RAM: 2x2 GB DDR2 333 MHz GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT (256 MB VRAM, 475 MHz Core, 950 MHz Shader, 800 MHz Memory, 128-bit, SM4, DX10) HDD: 120 GB, SATA I, 5400 RPM, 8 MB Cache (64 GB Free) Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200, 60 Hz, 32 bpp Average Idle Usage: <1% CPU Usage, <10 KBps HDD Usage, <25% RAM Usage, <35 Processes Running As you can see, I surpass all of the minimum system requirements, and all of the recommended requirements are met or surpassed, except for the graphics card. This is very confusing to me, given this data. If anyone could give me some assistance as to increasing my FPS or any other meaningful advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Oh yeah, you're right - it was a server-side modification. No wonder standard servers didn't have that ability. Thanks for correcting me, it's been so long since I've last played the original.
  6. I specifically remember on the original Renegade that you had the choice of not only donating a custom amount to someone, but also donating a custom amount to your team where it was evenly distributed. I could not find any way on how to do this, so I am pretty sure it's not implemented into the game yet. I thought it helped greatly in the original - sometimes I'd be a few credits short, most commonly when the refinery was already blown up, and some people would donate a small amount to everyone. Most of the time it was a difference between winning and losing, especially when a person had a lot of spare credits. In my opinion, I felt this feature was the most helpful when someone had to leave during the middle of a match. Is there any way this feature could be added? (I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this post, and if it is, could a moderator kindly move this thread to the correct one? Thank you.)
