I'm having a ton of fun playing RenegadeX. In the old Renegade I played under the name Nightgod7 on some of the larger servers. I hope some people remember me One thing I am having issues with is that is isn't obvious when you're taking damage. I seem to remember in the old renegade you had the fleshy bullet impact sound and it seemed like it was a lot louder. I think a fun addition would be an indicator of a head shot kill. As a sniper I take a lot of pride in head shots! I want the server to know I'm a head shot machine when I'm hot! Finally, as stated in numerous posts, air strikes are a bit too strong. I'm buying 500c snipers and an air strike and just racking in the points on a lot of maps.

Get used to always aiming at the head. I cant tell you the number of times I've fought 3 enemies and I end the fight killing 2 or sometimes all 3 of them because they are shooting at my body while I'm shooting at heads. Get good with the free units. When a game starts if you've gotten good with free units you can really snow ball your score and effectiveness early by buying a higher tier unit or a tank before your enemies can. When the game starts you should try to get to your enemies harvester with several team mates. Killing the enemy's 1st harvester and defending yours can significantly help your teams odds or winning the game. The first harvester is probably the most important unit in the game. 1000c units are not the end all be all. Especially snipers. In a lot of cases I prefer buying the 500c snipers. If the enemy has a lot of orca/apaches/mrls/artillery I will buy a 1000c sniper since they do good damage to those tanks. Also if the enemies HoN/Barracks is down I will buy a 1000c sniper since basic units are 1 shot kills. And my favorite: Humiliate your enemy by throwing times c4 on them if they dont know you're there!

For snipers in 80% of games I prefer the 500c faction sniper. Air heavy maps and games where your opponent doesnt ahve a HON/Barracks ill buy a 1000c faction sniper.

Throwing times C4 on your enemy is a fun and humiliating way to kill your enemy. Make sure to smile in all chat when you secure the kill. If you find C4 on your self find a friendly vehicle asap and get inside. When it explodes smile in all chat and say 'nice try'.

Well I had a game last night on Field in a 64 player server where I had 3300 points and the next closest in the game was 1100. Hit the Weap Fact with a mobile arty until it died. Nuked the Refinery, then played black hand sniper with air strikes the rest of the game. Guess I had a good match!

Is it just me or do all the servers seem to have a 64 player limit and you in them? I swear I see you on every server I've play on

Like classic Renegade, I feel that 24-32 players is optimal. Its hard to find servers in that range for max count. 64 is just to chaotic to get anything done IMO. Id love to see more servers in that range, as well.

Vehicles on field are pretty much unplayable for me. They studder like crazy and are hard to naviagte.
