Like I said, the launcher is kind of a byproduct; it's the api experience that I'm after. If I just wanted to create a launcher, I would definitely have used C# Same thing as above really; everyone else is using the more appropriate languages for simple GUI development (I'm guessing the one you linked to was written in a .net language).

Just parse this JSON. I've asked for the current map name to be added to the data, but it may be a few weeks before it gets added. As for the other stuff, I think the most portable way to create serverside mods is through mutators

You start the application with those in the command line: "C:\Program Files\Renegade X\Binaries\Win32\UDK.exe server?GDIBotCount=x?NODBotCount=x" Not sure if that's the correct path, adjust as necessary.

Like twig123 said, if you have a router, check that the necessary port is forwarded to the host pc. That's been the main cause of problems for me when I've hosted various servers from home.

Have you messed around with the graphics settings?

I'm fairly sure the recommended amount of RAM is 3gb. Have either of you read the sticky in the section that this thread should be in? It contains a fix that works for the majority of people. viewtopic.php?f=34&t=72023

I thought that too, I guess he hasn't experienced 8+ hour games of Under or Field on Renegade. Apart from that I found it a pretty good review.

You can try increasing the amount of memory Windows makes available. Make sure you restart after changing the settings.
