Looks like Christmas came early.

Finally some news! Quick question, who is going to host the servers?

So many people are quitting Renegade left and right, I feel as though Ren X is the last hope to save this great game.

Would it be free to put this game on Steam? If they're hosting it then I feel as though they would require some source of income from Ren-X or its players. But as long as it's not a requirement and non-Steam users can play with Steam-users, then I'm fine either way. As for the distribution, I had no problems with Black Dawn. 1 MB/sec download speed throughout the whole process, but then again, I only downloaded it in March.

The whole campaign remade? *wets pants* I don't get why so many people bash the campaign, I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I do miss carrying 20 weapons on me at all times.

Or will we have to redownload the client? I'm wondering since I have limited bandwidth and this was at least 3 GB.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but it seems like this covers quite a lot of the campaign. At least it took me more than two hours to get that far in the original game, for sure.

First off I want to congratulate you guys on accomplishing such a remarkable feat. I've played Renegade since it came out, so I've definitely heard of this from time to time but I never believed that this mod would actually be completed. It's freaking awesome, and it brings back lots of memories, but I'm just wondering how much of the original game's campaign that Black Dawn covers. I want it to be the whole campaign of course (keep dreaming, yeah), but you guys said it's a short 1-2 hour game so I'm sad. Still, waiting for multiplayer, it's gonna be killer.
