    ROFLMAO ...... That is literally the most hype I have ever heard in a PUG EVER. And because of that, I declare that Team Gliven won... cuz we definitely had the most fun.

    Reset the game with the launcher. It's under settings. Usually if it hangs on the loading screen it's just do to bad configurations of some sort.

    Considering I can barely ever even get Reborn/APB to work, let alone know how their servers work, or if they allow static teams, I'd be down to also look into other projects.. Hell, we could just go find a bunch of half dead games in development and randomly have a PUG on them.

    Everyone's wrong... This has been happening since like the 1st iteration of beta 5, and sometimes for me still during beta 4. It was most prevalent in beta 1-3 though. ....What gives you that idea?

    Dunno.. I just had it changed in Default from the patch and it worked fine for me.

    Kind of... except a lot of the environment/vehicle/character packages haven't been touched since like beta 2-3... Would probably save a lot of download time, but a fresh install would probably also guarentee you don't have more issues.

    Sucks. You might be able to save yourself like 4GB of install if you just download the new launcher on the main page, then overwrite your launcher folder with it.

    Check the folder permissions on the Renegade X folder so that EVERYONE (no that's literally the group name) has full permissions to the folder. If it's doing an endless cycle then it's probably just not actually able to swap out files. Also make sure you apply that to all sub folders when you do that, otherwise you'll have more weird problems with updates. Was resolved in a more recent release, but the old releases didn't set permissions on the folder during install.

    Honestly the easiest way to do it is just restarting your computer then doing it. That way you know for a fact there are no latent launcher processes that didn't close hanging around in the background.

    Pretty sure the CnC community as a whole can make a better CnC game than EA's proven to over the years. But better still... just take the concept they're not using and totally make a different IP.. viola

    I had fun... even if I started getting really bored after the bridge wall was built and nobody tried to jump the border. Twas living proof that Trump's on to something!

    Just saying because this was looked into extensively by 3 separate server owners and like 3 different devs. Next you're gonna' tell me you know how to force GPU particle rendering.

    What source does the launcher say it's downloading from?

    We've also tested it on client, but if you believe it works we can look into it. That was over a year ago.

    This has been known, however from what we gathered the ConnectionTimeout variable doesn't actually do ANYTHING; it will still stop then start downloading at 10KBps after about 30 seconds.

    Things are always wonky when one team gets utterly rofl stomped. Like if nobody ever even did anything offensive, it probably had a multitude of tied scores

    There's no such thing as random. But I literally have only ever gotten it once and it was while testing and I never saw it ever again.

    This is oddly neck and neck... Map dependent. Most of the maps that are direct ports from OldRen don't support the Mammoth well at all. They kind of take up too much space to be more than a nuisance in narrow passages. Maps like Whiteout though and Arctic are a different story though. When they have space and repairs they easily outclass everything else on the field, especially since they're also an outright damage sponge. They also have the highest damage output out of everything in the game sans Artillery. And if we're using burst damage then they out-do Arts as well. Pretty sure at Elite/Heroic you can delete Artillery in one burst of rockets and cannons.

    All I learned from this (Saturday) PUG is that A) People need to learn how to turn airstrikes, and B) Our MRLS not arcing their fire over the rocks to drop on Techs is probably why we struggled so hard on Field.
