Hello Thursday we have a LAN party planned at our campus. I hope to be able to introduce people there to Renegade-X. It's a unique FPS and one of the few I can trully enjoy (one of the other having been DUST514, which has been discontinued sadly). To make installation go smoother I plan to provide people a local copy of the game so that they don't have to download the entire load individually. I have been looking into alternative means of installations and found the full download link as part installation option 3 in INSTALLATION/UPDATE AID. Since that link doesn't hold the most up-to-date version, I take it the game will still need to be updated manually afterwards. Either via the new launcher of perhaps by other means? To be on the safe side I'm also going to provide the UE3 redist.

Thanks for getting back. I tried the console again. Works fine in a skirmish game, for some reason it doesn't work in a hosted game. Perhaps the server needs additional plugins for the console commands to be recognized?

Rather than start a new topic, I thought I'd use this one. Dispite it being an old topic. I hope That's ok Just discovered the console, looks handy for doing some freestyling. However I find most commands don't work, returning command not recognized

Awesome, thanks. Maybe untill that time it would help new players include that note on the dl page for the launcher? The description for the redistributable covers that well. To be honest I didn't give the redist much attention at first because I thought it would be required only for when you're going to do dev stuff with the game.

Hello, I'm new to the game (well, new to the remake. Old renegade player however). I guess I have a similar issue. Can't get the launcher to join a server. After hitting the "join server" button the launcher just minimizes and pops back again. Have search this forum for a few days now but can't find a solution. Launcher has been installed to a custom folder I'm sure where permissions aren't an issue Tried disabling the firewall. No changes We're holding a LAN-party on campus next week. I was hoping to set up a Renegade-X server there. Had great fun back when the Ren community was still vibrant so I hope to bring part of that fun to the event next week
