Wow none of you realize that these devs arent making a game for profit. This is a side project for people who work full time and have families. There is 0 profit from this and its existence is to entertain old renegade players. So no you're not going to get regular updates and to compare them to blizzard.... really??? These arent even professional devs no matter how good they are

I have to agree with the naysayers, this is C&C renegade, a remake no less, not a call of duty clone. Just keep the game the way it was and later on down the road if they see that people want it changed up, then we can start talking about new things. But in all honesty the whole reason this project started was the love for the original, we don't want a "modern" fps UT FTW!!

You will not be able to use custom textures when playing online. While it was cool to use your own skins in C&C Renegade, it also came with a security risk (e.g. big head). With Renegade X you will only be able to join servers if your files match that server's files to take care of cheaters. Ah oh well, I see the dilemma (just a fan of the gray Nod colors from classic). Thank you for your response and I'll just play the sound byte in my head.

Thank you Nathon Fillion!!! I've been dying to see an update like so many others. I have a quick question though (dunno if it's possible) but as in the original renegade, will we be able to swap textures and sounds? For example when I got a kill in Renegade instead of the boink sound I would hear the old Tiberian Dawn commando say "real tough guy".

Also an old school player, from 05 - 07 not too long, name was Ion229. I don't recognize anyone's name here so i don't expect any either lol but i mainly did sniper matches
