  1. My apologies, just got caught up in the excitement. Removed the links from everywhere else.
  2. QUOTE (Notorious Pyromaniac @ Sep 30 2009, 01:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, it's the [st0rm] server, he normally does Warfare.
  3. QUOTE (BLaZor @ Sep 30 2009, 02:34 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't even think about having that many people on a server. The lag would be insane.
  4. Sure hope that there's going to be plenty of servers. I've already convinced one admin to change his server to Renegade X once it's out.
  5. I'd love to play again but my copy of Renegade was part of a pack of games and the serial came on a separate card. I've long since lost that card so I'm not even sure if I'd be able to play the game without a valid key these days. I was thinking of picking up The First Decade solely for Renegade since it's cheap enough now.
  6. Aw... I was getting myself all hyped up for an afternoon release. Oh well, I guess I can wait 4 more hours.
  7. There would be even more but I can't seem to convince anyone to buy UT3 even when it's dirt cheap and thus they have no interest in the mod.

    PR?

QUOTE ((NE)Fobby(GEN) @ Sep 30 2009, 09:18 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, alright then. This is just one of my most hyped mods(ever probably, and I've looked forward to lots of mods for games like Half-Life, BF1942, etc) and I don't want to see it fail like all of the others that came to UT3. But then again, most of the mods that came to UT3 so far were all barely playable messes that missed 90% of their features. From the feature list for the beta that I read for this mod and videos I've seen it seems like you've got all of the gameplay elements in place and have an entirely playable, nearly feature complete, and fun mod. I sincerely wish you guys the best of luck with your release and I cannot wait to get my hands on it.

    PR?

Hey, I've talked to a few friends of mine who used to be huge Renegade fans and when I mentioned the mod to them they had never even heard of it! I think you guys should really think about getting an announcement on Steam and maybe even Fileplanet. I mean, I'm not sure if it costs anything to get a mention on Steam... but I think there's a small fee for Fileplanet. I just really want this mod to be one of those rare UT3 mods that actually have people playing it and I think you guys really need to invest on some PR to get it much more widely known. I've already made topics on other forums I frequent to try and get the hype train rolling and most of them weren't very successful... well post-wise atleast, they'd all have quite a few views but they'd only get to the 2nd page before fading away into the abyss.
  10. I certainly hope you guys meet success with the mod. I personally cannot wait to play it, I just really hope that the mod's release brings on the Renegade players to the game.
  11. Not sure if it's been asked yet but, having just played UT3 and tried a bunch of different mods(all of which have no servers at all)... I fear that Renegade X will suffer from a lack of actual players willing to keep servers up. So, I ask... why did you guys choose an essentially dead(or dying) game to develop your mod for?
