  1. This was done back in '09: link Uploading the video to my own YouTube channel since the original was made private... 8Ufy2Ua-_W4
  2. I have no idea if you're joking or not (i really don't, no sarcasm intended), but i always find it funny when someone says points don't matter in marathon. If you even slightly think about it, you know points = credits, and if you're playing a marathon game where both teams have no ref and/or pp, guess which team has a higher chance of winning... More examples can be given but i think you get my point on this one. gaFQyJySGJ4 On topic, credits earned by points didn't help in marathon unless donation was enabled in the server, or if one player was able to buy vehicles for the rest of the team, since being only able to buy one advanced infantry or one beacon at a time usually wouldn't be a gamebreaker unless there was REALLY good team coordination.
  3. Heh, the Black-Cell servers' Dragonade mod made good use of the unfinished SSM launcher when we messed around after the Regulars vs. Moderators events. I have an old video here: 5CBqzjkE0Bc The Renegade: Sole Survivor total conversion mod, however, actually implemented a properly-working SSM launcher. Too bad that mod never really went anywhere.
  4. I may be able to help. I've never seen the original site so i'd need to know what needs to be done. http://web.archive.org/web/201302160058 ... .com/site/ Archive.org runs a bit slow, but that's what the website used to look like in its most recent iteration.
  5. http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php?t=msg&th=37326 Also check out the other stickies here: http://www.renegadeforums.com/index.php ... d&frm_id=7 Edit: Also, you said you "re-downloaded" Renegade. If you don't have a valid serial, don't bother with XWIS, unless you buy a new serial from them (I don't remember if they're still doing that, but hopefully there will be instructions for that on their site). You'll have to direct connect to servers that provide their IPs or try something like Renlist.
  6. never got to witness it. Never really used it myself, but I remember that my younger brother got temp-banned by HelpBot for telling someone else to "be carefuk" [typo] about cussing, and apparently HelpBot considered that to be cussing. Ah, 2002. Good times.

    New forums!

Yeah, somehow I was able to log into my account without resetting the password. I DID try to reset it yesterday, but the email never came. Odd. Also, yay for being able to switch to my animated avatar! Also, I noticed some weird stuff going on in my Private Messages. My "Inbox" is full of messages generated from 5 posts I hit "Report" on, and they're addressed from me to Fobby. Not sure why that's in "Inbox" instead of "Sent". Also, my "Sent Messages" folder is throwing a bunch of PHP errors, and actually contains two replies to two of my Reported messages. Double weird.
  8. Actually, I can't find any mention of him in my 2002 CD manual, but I did find the description in the Character data you can earn in singleplayer Renegade, and at Renegadecommunity.com (click the "The Dead Six: When Might Makes Right" link). Man, the difference a decade makes in graphics...
  9. Interesting. Well, someone must have changed their mind at some point, as on http://www.frankklepacki.com/ it's still listed as Full Stop.
  10. They released their full OST over here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/renegade-x/downloads/renegade-x-ost Edit: Looks like Track 4 - Full Stop is the one you remixed. I like your interpretation as well!
  11. QUOTE (Jeod @ Sep 18 2009, 05:47 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.xe.com/ucc Live rates at 2009.09.18 15:51:08 UTC 600.00 EUR = 883.351 USD 1 EUR = 1.47225 USD; 1 USD = 0.679232 EUR Useful little site, that is.
  12. havoc9326 for the first few months of the game. Then I took a hiatus until some point early in college when I finally had high-speed internet instead of 56k AOL, and since I forgot the original password or something, it's been havoc9826 and my clan nick BChavoc98 ever since. (Plus 1 rarely-used smurf for moderating) Addition to the topic: how many of you have a name older than the WOL to XWIS conversion date? See if you have stats and summary pages like mine (many of you probably will have more details on your stats page; I'm not sure why mine doesn't). Just replace my name with yours and find out: http://renchat2.westwood.com/renegade/game...dual_stats.html http://renchat2.westwood.com/renegade/game...ary_shell.shtml Edit: QUOTE (Erik @ Sep 14 2009, 06:39 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bigrudder! Haven't seen you since forever at Black-Cell
  13. This might be a stupid question, but are your video card drivers up to date?
  14. QUOTE (thomasemperor @ Sep 5 2009, 03:41 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Black-Cell used to have !vkick 2 !vkick 3 !vkick 4 to cover APC passengers.
  15. QUOTE (havoc9826 @ Aug 17 2009, 09:37 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think Fobby meant it'll just make the single beep that you get when you click the mouse to plant it, so people nearby (or potential c4 sticking victims) might become aware of it. [/b] QUOTE (BLaZor @ Sep 6 2009, 10:57 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think you misread what I was talking about BLaZor. I was talking about the timed C4, not the beacons. QUOTE (An4x1madr0s @ Sep 6 2009, 11:16 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, Nod got no warning when the Ion Cannon was fired because it could only affect one building. The nuke could kill multiple buildings within a certain radius (I forget if the MCY was able to survive it), so that gave an announcement. You're thinking of EVA saying "Ion Cannon Charging" to the GDI commander when you clicked on the button before it was ready.
