  7. I can create a series of webservices also that anyone can use to show a leaderboard on their own sites. What we *can* do is have users create a clanwars.cc account and then sometime later on the renx coders can build in an authentication screen that pings against clanwars.cc to validate a user. Then when the user plays a match the results get sent to clanwars.cc. I will create a series of webservices so - as an example the website here could show various flavors of leaderboards from the clanwars.cc database - or any website can. After signing up at clanwars.cc you wouldn't even really need to return to the site. I love renegade and played it a ton so anything I can do to help I will
  8. valor - no no it does not and it's nothing official. However we are hoping to be able to automatically get match results and have been talking with the coding team, but that's further down the line for them to look at.
  9. hey volcum - I just saw your email. I had been having a dialogue with Daniel about having match results sent to clanwars.cc and I'd auto generate stats and such. If you already have something doing this that's cool if not or you want to have us collect data too awesome just let me know. We have a webservice already setup to collect match data obviously just need the coders to make that happen in the game upon match conclusion. Either way can't wait to play this game!!!!!

  11. I don't want to be telling tales out of school and right now it's just "talk" but myself and the renegade-x guys are discussing automatically integrating renegade-x directly into clanwars, aka upon match completion results are sent directly to clanwars

  13. I will be really interested to see the size of the community for this game. I admit I am probably considered a first generation PC gamer - I am not trying to brag, trust me, I feel very dated anymore in gaming circles. But the fact is I really got into gaming in the early 90s - playing all of these great games (imo) that had no persistence, or leveling or micro transactions or any F2P mechanics. I LOVED the original Renegade and I am very very excited to see a good multiplayer - team based, session based, non persistent experience and see how well received it is. I think the renegade formula is unique and very fun, but will this generation of gamers want an experience that is, at it's core a more hardcore experience. Hardcore because excluding any cheating or hacks it's always a very fair symettrical skill based experience. You can't buy any advantages and while you role play a bit - it's nothing like LoL or WoT where you have a very specific role based on your tank or character. Here you can very rapidly change roles and should depending on the situation. I tried PS2 and I admit I am old and slow, but wow it was just too overwhelming - too fast, too large, too confusing. Renegade is the perfect bite sized, session based experience, games are fast but confined and don't last hours and there is always an outcome. With that comes some ownership of that outcome, - I am referring to arranged team games btw. I am very curious to see how well this game is received.

As the original game? to the devs - if you want to package game results and send them to me I can collect the match data and sort it out and even flag games as clan matches based on the participants - I did this for halo wars on the cw.cc site - hit me up if you want to chat about it email is best: [email protected] again though great work guys I really hope this game picks up steam I'll be pimping it for you guys as best I can. I run that site and the old renegade community had a popular league running over there, I could probably get spoony to manage it again (if you all remember him) #2 How will multiplayer work regarding client/server - cheat prevention etc... I would be willing to run an official server - just let me know -oomp

  18. something going on? can not get online at all to play when I launch the server list front end nothing is there when I hit refresh after a delay I get "Error getting serverlist..." any help would be appreciated

    Well yea of course get your game done first - just asking the question incase it got some traction so you could plan on implementation during your dev cycle rather than after the fact. If clanwars.cc - Renegade-X integration were to happen certaintly no one would be forced to have their stats displayed at clanwars.cc; you'd have to sign up and create an account at clanwars.cc. But back on topic if any of the devs here want to explore the topic just reach out to me so we could talk about how it might work. At anyrate I have to say the youtubes are looking really solid, great work here guys, tremendous testament to what talented, motivated people can do if they put their minds to it - really looking forward to the finished product.
